The Wrap-Up of “Business Design and Business Model Development for Community Initiatives” program

As part of the mission of Excellence and Leadership Academy to support change-makers and community initiative leaders in Syria, and to enhance their capacity to build impactful and sustainable projects within their communities, The Academy organized the training program “Business Design and Business Model Development for Community Initiatives”, offered as a scholarship-based training, from April 28 to 30, 2025, with the participation of a group of individuals interested in developing effective community initiatives and projects. The program aimed to equip participants with practical knowledge and professional methodologies for designing innovative and applicable business models, based on global best practices in entrepreneurship and community planning. It included intensive training sessions and hands-on applications focused on designing business models using the Value Proposition Canvas (VPC) and Business Model Canvas (BMC), as well as introducing the fundamentals of the Lean Startup methodology, and how to apply it in developing sustainable community-based projects.

The program was delivered by Eng. Munir Zahra, a certified consultant and trainer in leadership, strategic planning, and business design, who skillfully guided the participants throughout the three days of training. The program was marked by strong engagement from participants, who exchanged valuable experiences and insights, enabling them to develop clear concepts and actionable business models for their initiatives. At the conclusion of the program, participants received certificates of participation accredited by the Academy. They expressed deep satisfaction with the quality of the content and practical exercises, affirming the value they gained from the experience.
