In pursuit of continuous development and empowerment to enhance leadership practices, exchange practical experiences, and strengthen communication and collaboration among participants, the Excellence and Leadership Academy held its virtual fifth annual leadership forum from November 3rd to 4th, 2023, under the theme “Leadership in Times of Uncertainty.”
More than 50 leaders, graduates of The Leadership Challenge Program, participated in this forum, which featured a series of distinctive activities. The first session, led by Mr. Talha Al-Nasser, focused on the impact of artificial intelligence on leadership. He discussed the role of artificial intelligence in enhancing leadership practices, and its influence on organizational and societal leadership methodologies, and highlighted the challenges hindering the effective utilization of artificial intelligence by leaders.
The second session, facilitated by Mr. Mounir Zahra, addressed leadership practices in a VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguous) environment. He explored the impact of the VUCA environment on businesses and projects, emphasizing the leader’s role in dealing with major changes. Additionally, he presented the leadership practices and strategies to cope with the challenges posed by the VUCA environment.
The third segment focused on leadership experiences during times of crisis. Participants shared their leadership experiences during the earthquake that struck Turkey and northern Syria earlier this year. The discussions revolved around key leadership behaviors practiced during various challenges, including model the way, dealing with risks, and empowering and motivating others.
Throughout the sessions, participants engaged in insightful interventions and discussions that enriched the forum and fostered the exchange of experiences among them. Special thanks were extended to all distinguished leaders who contributed to the success of the forum.
It is worth noting that this forum is part of the enrichment activities provided by the academy for graduates of The Leadership Challenge program, a specialized leadership development program accredited by Wiley.
